13th World Medical Cross Country 02.-03.02.2008 in Oberammergau 50 km in free technique and 23 km in classical technique |

Swimming, cycling and running are the preventive medical measurements and healthiest sport events during summer time, without any doubt cross-country skiing is the best sport event during winter time. Therefore the International Medical Triathlon Association (IMTA) has decided to organize a World Championship for physicians and pharmacists in cross-country skiing besides the International Championships in Triathlon and Duathlon.
Entitled to participate are all physicians, pharmacists, dentists and veterinarians for the championship class. In the student class all those are entitled who study one of those professions. In the connection with this sportive championship a medical symposium will be held in regard to themes of endurance sport events.
This 13th World Championship in Cross-Country Skiing for physicians and pharmacists will be held together with the 36th König-Ludwig-Lauf in Oberammergau on Saturday Feb. 02, 2008, over a distance of 50 km free technique and on Sunday Feb. 03, 2008, over a distance of 23 km classical technique. Starting time will be on Saturday at 09.00 hrs and on Sunday at 13.00 hrs in Ettal.
The symposium and prize distribution (50 km) will be held Saturday, Feb. 02, 2008 15.00 - 17.00 hrs at the Hotel "Am Kofel". Prize distribution for 23 kms race will be on Sunday, Feb. 03, 2008 15.30 hrs. at the Hotel "Am Kofel"
Starting fee for 50 kms race is EUR 55.00 until Dec. 31, 2007, from Jan. 01, 2008 up to the date of race fee is EUR 65.00. For 23 kms race starting fee is EUR 40.00 until Dec. 31, 2007, from Jan. 01, 2008 up to the date of race fee is EUR 45.00. For both races (23 km and 50 km) starting fee is EUR 90.00 until Dec. 31, 2007. All participants will also be scored for the 36th Int. König-Ludwig-Lauf.
